FAQ

Questions, answered.

Everything practices ask us about the platform, the pharmacy network, pricing, onboarding and compliance.

The platform

What is Refill?

Refill is an all-in-one practice platform for telehealth and hybrid care. It combines an EHR, branded intake and check-ins, e-prescribing for any medication, a vetted 503A pharmacy network, automatic refills, subscriptions and payments, labs, analytics and a white-label patient experience in one product.

Can Refill replace my EHR?

Yes. Practices run charting, notes, prescribing, labs, refills, billing and patient communication entirely on Refill. Our Switch to Refill team migrates your patient records, active prescriptions and subscriptions, and trains your staff.

How does Refill differ from a pharmacy or an ordering portal?

Refill is not a pharmacy. Ordering portals stop at the order. Refill runs the whole practice around it: intake, the chart, the prescription, routing to the best 503A pharmacy, refills, subscriptions and analytics. It's software plus supply, in one system.

How does Refill compare to other practice software?

Most practice software stops at the chart and leaves fulfillment, pricing and the patient storefront to you. Refill includes them in one subscription, with pre-negotiated medication pricing and workflows that adapt to how you already practice.

Can my patients see Refill's brand?

No. With Refill Connect, the storefront, intake, checkout, patient portal and emails carry your brand on your domain.

Pharmacy & medications

Which pharmacies are in the network?

Refill partners exclusively with U.S.-based 503A pharmacies that are LegitScript-certified and/or NABP-accredited, including Strive, Empower, Southend, Rush, Artisan, Vios and more. We add partners regularly.

What medications can I prescribe?

Compounded medications across weight management, peptides, hormone therapy, sexual health, hair and skin, dermatology and general wellness through our 503A network, plus the full catalog of standard retail medications through e-prescribing.

How competitive is Refill's medication pricing?

Very. Pricing is pre-negotiated on the network's combined volume, so it's typically well below what a single practice can get on its own. Send us what you pay today and we'll show you a side-by-side comparison.

Can I choose the pharmacy for an order?

Yes. Refill recommends the best route based on price, the ship-to state and turnaround, and you can always pick a specific pharmacy or pin favorites.

Pricing

How much does Refill cost?

Refill is one subscription for the platform, which replaces the separate EHR, intake, e-prescribing and billing tools most practices pay for today. Medication is billed at pre-negotiated network pricing. For Refill Connect and the provider network, talk to sales for a quote based on your programs and volume.

Is there a contract or setup fee?

Talk to sales about your practice. We'll walk through your programs, states and volume and give you a clear quote before you commit to anything.

Getting started

How quickly can I get started?

Most practices are onboarded and prescribing within one to two days. After your demo, we'll guide you through account setup, migration of your existing data and staff training.

What happens on the demo?

A Refill specialist walks through the platform using your programs, then answers questions about pricing, pharmacies, migration and timelines. It takes about 30 minutes.

Do I need my own providers?

No. Your own providers can review and prescribe, Refill's 50-state provider network can do it for you, or you can combine both by state or program.

Compliance & security

Is Refill HIPAA compliant?

Yes. Refill runs on HIPAA-compliant infrastructure with encryption, role-based access and full audit logging, and we sign a BAA with every practice.

What does LegitScript certification involve?

LegitScript certification verifies that your practice meets regulatory standards for online healthcare. When you apply through Refill, you get expedited processing, a dedicated account manager, hands-on compliance support and lower costs than applying independently.

How does nationwide prescribing work?

Through our nationwide provider network, practices can prescribe in all 50 states without hiring providers licensed in each one. Licensed physicians in our network review and prescribe for your patients using your protocols.
